A slow liftgate is often a hydraulic issue. Common causes are low hydraulic fluid, a worn hydraulic pump, a damaged hydraulic cylinder, a clogged filter or a leak. Before replacing the whole system, an inspection can usually identify the defective component. Canvec stocks hydraulic pumps, cylinders, electric motors and other liftgate parts. Its technicians offer liftgate repair in the shop or 24/7 on the road.

Components such as hydraulic cylinders, electric motors, solenoids, pumps, switches, remote controls, wiring harnesses, brackets and hinges can be replaced without changing the whole liftgate.
