CANVEC Western Party 2026: More Than 140 People Came Together!
On October 17, CANVEC traded trucks for horses, work boots for cowboy boots, and meetings for a fun-filled day with family!
For our annual family celebration, we went with a Western Festival theme—and the whole team embraced the adventure!
More than 140 people came together for the occasion: employees, partners, children, families and friends. Everyone was invited to enjoy a day full of activities, great food and, most of all, memorable moments together.
Because that’s what our annual family celebration is all about: taking time to connect, getting to know our colleagues’ families and enjoying each other’s company outside of work.
At CANVEC, we work hard all year. We also believe in making time to come together and celebrate.
A Family Celebration to Bring Everyone Together
Above all, this celebration is an opportunity to bring together the people who are part of our everyday lives, both at work and at home.
At CANVEC, our employees are at the heart of our success. And behind every team member are families, partners, children and friends who are part of this journey too.
That’s why, every year, we make a point of organizing a family celebration where everyone is welcome.
This year’s Western theme brought a whole new atmosphere, with decorations, activities and surprises for all ages.
And with more than 140 people joining in, we’d say the celebration was a great success!
Activities for All Ages
This year, we wanted to create a day with something for everyone. And let’s just say we had plenty planned!
Horses, Ponies and Plenty of Fun!
What’s a Western party without horses and ponies?
The children got to spend time with a pony and a horse, adding a little Wild West magic to the day.
For those feeling brave, there was also a mechanical bull! It brought plenty of laughs from riders and spectators alike. Because staying on a bull—even a mechanical one—can be harder than it looks!
We also had an inflatable obstacle course, perfect for getting kids and grown-ups moving.
Surprises for the Kids
We had a few things planned for our little cowboys and cowgirls too!
Each child could receive a T-shirt specially made for the event—a fun keepsake to bring home.
There was also face painting, a gummy candy bar and popcorn. In other words, plenty to keep the kids smiling!
A Photo Booth to Capture the Memories
A photo booth with on-site printing gave everyone a chance to take home a memory of the day.
Families, colleagues and friends struck their best Western poses. And let’s just say some really got into character!
A BBQ Feast to Bring Everyone Together
A family celebration is also a chance to share a great meal.
We had a catered roast and a bar for the adults, giving our guests everything they needed to eat, chat and make the most of the day.
In the end, it was exactly the atmosphere we had hoped for: a relaxed celebration filled with good food, good company and plenty of fun.
An Exceptional Organizing Team
Behind a celebration like this is a whole lot of preparation. And this year, we were lucky to have an exceptional organizing team!
We wanted to take a moment to recognize the people who made this day possible.
Robert and Dominique handled much of the setup, including preparing the spaces for the horse and pony. Their work helped bring our Western setting to life!
Julie tracked down several essentials for our decorations and activities, including the hay bales, the horse and the pony. Because a Western Festival without hay bales just wouldn’t be the same!
Martine provided valuable help with the catering and popcorn, making sure several parts of the day were well organized.
Émilie coordinated the event and decorations with the team, keeping track of costs, T-shirts, décor and all the little details that help an event run smoothly.
Danny, the man helping bring it all together, embraced our ideas and put his trust in the team!
And, of course, a huge thank-you to everyone else who helped prepare for the celebration and keep things running smoothly.
It truly was a team effort that made this year’s celebration so special. The best celebration for the best team! Everyone pitched in, and the results were well worth it.
An event like this takes time, energy and plenty of coordination. But seeing families come together, children having fun and colleagues enjoying the day made every bit of that effort worthwhile.
More Than a Celebration: CANVEC’s Family Spirit
At CANVEC, our days are busy. Between truck and trailer rentals, road transportation equipment and our 24/7 roadside assistance service, our teams work hard to meet our customers’ needs.
But behind all these services are people.
Colleagues, parents, friends and families who are all part of the CANVEC family in their own way.
For more than 35 years, our company has continued to grow and evolve. And as our operations expand, we want to preserve that close connection between our team members.
Our annual family celebration is a wonderful opportunity to do just that.
It’s a chance to meet partners, watch the children grow from one year to the next, catch up with colleagues we don’t see as often and create memories together.
Because a company is more than numbers, equipment and operations. It’s also the people who keep it moving forward every day.
And with more than 140 people attending this year, the CANVEC family was certainly well represented!
