CANVEC Opens Its New Branch in Ontario
It’s official: CANVEC now has an office in Ontario!
Our new branch, located at 3-2445 Eagle Street North, Cambridge, Ontario, N3H 4R7, is now open.
This opening represents an important milestone in CANVEC’s history. We now have two main offices to support our growth: our Lachine facility in Quebec and our new Cambridge branch in Ontario.
Two provinces, two teams well-rooted in their markets, and a single mission: keeping our clients quickly on the road.
CANVEC Officially Establishes Roots in Ontario
CANVEC has been working alongside Ontario carriers for several years. Our team understands their needs, challenges, and day-to-day operational realities.
With the opening of our new Cambridge branch, this presence now has a permanent home.
CANVEC is no longer just doing business in Ontario. We now have an official Ontario address, an on-site team, and a space dedicated entirely to our Road Service operations.
Following our main office in Quebec, CANVEC now has its own branch in Ontario.
This new location brings us closer to our clients, suppliers, and Ontario partners. It also strengthens our ability to support the continued expansion of our network in the province and across Canada.
For CANVEC, this is a natural next step. Our company is growing, our network is evolving, and our Ontario team needed a space of its own.
Now, they have one.
Two Offices to Better Serve Our Clients
Our Lachine facility remains our main office in Quebec. It brings together several of CANVEC’s activities, including rental, maintenance, repairs, and liftgate services.
The new Cambridge branch is our official office in Ontario. It is 100% dedicated to our Road Service team.
This dual-province presence allows us to build an organization even closer to the realities our clients face on the road:
- An office in Lachine, Quebec;
- An office in Cambridge, Ontario;
- A Road Service team available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week;
- A supplier network extending across Canada and the United States;
- Shared coordination to support carriers, wherever their operations take them.
Our Quebec team and our Ontario team share the same way of working, the same commitment to help, and the same service promise.
This isn’t two different CANVEC companies. It is a single team, now firmly established in two provinces.
One foot in Quebec, one foot in Ontario, and always both hands on the wheel.
This new structure also gives us room to continue growing. It allows us to share responsibilities more effectively, strengthens our regional presence, and enables each team to stay connected to local market realities.
A Branch Dedicated to Road Service
The Cambridge branch is devoted entirely to our roadside assistance operations for trucks and trailers.
When a heavy vehicle is immobilized, carriers need to reach someone quickly, someone who understands the situation and knows how to coordinate the next steps.
Our team answers calls directly, 24/7. They coordinate services including:
- Tire repairs;
- Mechanical issues;
- Diagnostics;
- Truck and trailer repairs;
- Refrigerated and heated units;
- Hydraulic systems;
- Liftgate repairs.
The opening of this branch gives our Ontario team an environment designed specifically for their work. They can now run operations from a space of their own, built around their needs.
This location is more than a simply another office. It is the home of CANVEC’s Road Service in Ontario.
Teams United Under One Roof
Behind every Road Service call, several people work together.
Answering the call, understanding the issue, finding the right supplier, confirming availability, communicating with the client, obtaining authorization, and tracking the file are all essential steps.
The new branch now brings together several key teams responsible for the process:
- Sales;
- Dispatch;
- Supplier Relations;
- Administration;
- Invoicing.
Having these functions in one location makes communication easier and helps accelerate follow ups.
A question about a supplier? The right person is nearby.
A detail regarding a client? Sales can quickly step in.
A file needs verification? The administrative team is on-site.
In our line of work, clear communication help prevent delays. And when a truck is down, every minute matters.
This proximity also helps build an even more cohesive team. Employees can exchange ideas directly, better understand their colleagues’ work, and handle daily challenges together.
A Project Led by Miguel
Opening a new branch isn’t just moving a few desks and ordering a new coffee maker.
It requires planning the layout, coordinating countless details, managing equipment, and making sure everything is ready when the team walks through the doors.
Project management was entrusted to Miguel.
He managed the project from initial planning to the official opening, taking each team’s needs into account. His objective was to create a welcoming, functional space capable of supporting both CANVEC’s current operations and our future growth in Ontario.
After many decisions, adjustments, and hard work, the project has now reached completion.
Our Ontario team finally has its own office.
