What is the load capacity of a drop-deck trailer?

Can I lease a step deck trailer long term?
Yes. Through long-term trailer leasing, you set the lease term with Canvec, from 1 to 10 years, and equipment maintenance is included. You can choose new equipment customized on demand or a recent trailer from the fleet. Step decks come in 48′ and 53′ lengths, tandem or tridem, in steel-aluminum combo or 100% aluminum.
What is the difference between a step deck and a standard flatbed?
A standard flatbed trailer has one flat loading surface for heavy, long or bulky cargo. A step deck has a lower deck, so it can carry loads too tall for a standard trailer while staying within road height limits. For even more overhead space, Canvec also rents double drop deck trailers.
Do you rent extendable drop deck trailers for very long loads?
Yes. Canvec’s extendable drop deck trailers measure 53′ closed and extend up to 72′, on 3 axles (tridem), for beams, prefabricated structures and machinery. For the longest loads, extendable flatbed trailers extend from 48′ to 77′ or 53′ to 90′. Share your cargo’s dimensions and weight so the team can confirm the right configuration.
