Loading Tips

Frequently asked questions about flatbed trailer rental
What flatbed trailer lengths can I rent?
CANVEC rents 48- and 53-foot flatbed trailers with 2 to 4 axles (tandem, tridem and quad). They come in an aluminum and galvanized steel combo or a full aluminum version, with air ride suspension, winches and straps included. For longer cargo, see our extendable flatbed trailers or our extendable drop deck trailers.
How long can I rent a flatbed trailer?
The rental term adapts to your needs. Short-term trailer rental is available by the day, week or month, ideal for an unexpected need or a work overload. For ongoing needs, long-term leasing offers a lease of 1 to 10 years with a fixed, predictable-cost maintenance program.
What is the difference between a flatbed and a drop deck trailer?
A flatbed is an open trailer with a flat loading surface, designed for heavy, long or irregularly shaped cargo. A drop deck (step deck) trailer has a lower deck to haul items taller than what is normally allowed on our roads. For even more height, a double drop deck trailer lowers its centre deck even further.
Can I rent a truck to pull the flatbed trailer?
Yes. CANVEC offers International LT625 tractor truck rental: 10-wheel day cab tractors with a 450 HP engine and automatic transmission, maintenance included, short or long term. Our experts can help you choose the right heavy truck and confirm the availability of a flatbed suited to your load.
Do you rent flatbed trailers outside Montreal?
Yes. CANVEC rents trailers in Quebec, Ontario and the Maritimes. The fleet is located in Greater Montreal, and a delivery and pickup service makes renting your flatbed easier. During the rental, our 24/7 mechanical emergency service follows you anywhere in Canada and the United States. Contact our rental team for a free proposal.
